I check the box that says "Attach Signature", yet I see no signature.

ok well i couldnt find out how to directly add your signature from your files, but you need to make an account on an image sharing website (like photobucket) and copy and paste the img location to your sig, then add the img tag around it.
or you can add a sig you have on another foum by right clicking the image and copy and paste the image address into the img tags.

I did all that (I'm familiar with the protocal for adding graphics to things. ie: sigs)
